Corean Hamlin
Corean Hamlin, the newest addition to our team, has devoted her career to professional training and instructional design. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, she spent 10 years developing and delivering courses for companies across the country. During that time, Corean served in a variety of roles, ranging from instructor to courseware developer to training manager. Course topics ranged from sales technologies to standard and proprietary software applications to instructor and team development. From training European corporate resellers of proprietary software to preparing instructor teams for sales force automation roll-outs, Corean dedicated herself to creating effective learning for professionals. In 2003, Corean returned to her native Asheville to join her family’s real estate firm as a residential broker. Four years later, Corean re-entered the education arena as a real estate instructor and, later, the Education Director for the Asheville Board of Realtors®. “Having two Realtor®-parents, I have an intrinsic love for the real estate business. Combining that foundation with my own sales and training experience seemed like a natural path.” Today, Corean focuses solely on real estate instruction, teaching a wide variety of NC Real Estate Commission and Realtor® courses. In her spare time, Corean serves as a volunteer community mediator in Buncombe and Henderson counties and is pursuing a master’s degree in conflict resolution. Her approach to teaching reflects those principles: “I strive to create an environment of encouragement and cooperation. I want students to have fun and feel confident.”
