The Prelicensing Course is the first step to a Career in Real Estate. This introductory course is designed to: (1) give the basic information and skills to serve as a real estate broker; and (2) prepare students to pass the state license examination. The course is 75 hours, including the class final examination, and
consists of instruction in basic real estate principles and practices. Topics include: real estate license law and North Carolina Real Estate Commission rules, financing, brokerage, closing statements, valuation, property management, income taxation, fair housing, residential landlord/tenant, property insurance, trust accounts, agent safety and real estate math.
